Jarret Stoll’s experience as a Ranger has been close to what he’d expected. There’s only been one surprise.
“If there’s one thing, maybe I didn’t know how good Zucc was, and now I know,” Stoll said Monday morning at the Garden of leading scorer Mats Zuccarello’s 21 points through 20 games. “It’s pretty much what I expected: We’re finding ways to win (even) when we’re not playing very well some games. Part of that’s goaltending, part of that’s special teams, and the speed game, the transition game, a lot of skilled forwards that can make plays. That’s the kind of team I thought this was, and that’s exactly what it is.
