Jack Johnson Sidelined Rest of the 2020-21 Season

New York Rangers’ defenseman Jack Johnson will be out for the rest of this season after undergoing successful hernia surgery on Friday.

Jack Johnson had successful sports hernia related surgery yesterday. Expectation is he will make a full recovery by June/July.

The 34-year-old signed with the Blueshirts last July to a one-year, 1.15 million contract after Pittsburgh bought out the final two years of his last deal. He played 13 games this season, where he averaged 16:58 minutes of ice time, and earned one point.
