WASHINGTON — The Rangers finally started playing games again, and it hasn’t been pretty.

After a loose opening to their schedule, the Blueshirts were swept in their back-to-back with a 5-2 loss to the Capitals on Friday night, making it three losses in a row. They were disjointed for most of the game, looking like a team that is still trying to find their rhythm.

The Rangers (2-3-0) were coming off a 5-2 loss to the Devils at Prudential Center on Thursday night, which was just their fourth game of the season going back to opening night on Oct.
