The first trade of the offseason went down yesterday, as the Penguins and Maple Leafs made a bit of a weird one. Kasperi Kapenen and prospect Jesper Lindgren were the key pieces going to Pittsburgh. The price was a top-15 pick and a better prospect in Filip Hallander. It seems like an odd trade, but this trade may set the market. For the NY Rangers, it has fueled a rumor that they may entertain trade offers on Pavel Buchnevich.

Kapanen, 24, is about a 30-40 point third line winger at the moment.
