Last year, Mats Zuccarello's charity game as huge news. Not just for Right to Play, the charity he supports in order to help spread sport and build programs in countries that may not have it, but because he himself was playing in the game: the first time he'd take to the ice since suffering brain damage during the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs.
It wasn't a hard-hitting game, so Zuccarello was able to make his way back onto the ice for it, along with several New York Rangers teammates: at the time, Derick Brassard, Carl Hagelin, Kevin Hayes, and Chris Kreider.
