Henrik Lundqvist, Rick Nash out for Rangers vs. Hurricanes

RALEIGH, N.C. — Henrik Lundqvist and Rick Nash joined the Rangers’ injured list Thursday and will not face the Hurricanes tonight at PNC Arena to wrap up this three-game trip.

Both Lundqvist (lower-body) and Nash (upper-body) are day-to-day, head coach Alain Vigneault said. Lundqvist tweaked something against the Panthers in the team’s second straight win on Tuesday; Nash “has been carrying this upper-body issue and it’s just too painful today”, Vigneault said.

In addition to Lundqvist and Nash, four other Rangers will be unable to play. Winger Michael Grabner, who will miss his fifth straight game with a hip/oblique issue, did give it a whirl in the morning skate but isn’t ready, Vigneault said.
