EDMONTON — Glen Sather says he is "not the kind of a guy that lives in the past," but the proud Hall of Famer qualifies, "I remember a lot about a lot of things." And why wouldn't he? For what a past it was.
Sather, 72, at present is the Rangers' president. Perhaps the hope for this son of High River, Alberta, once was to remain forever in Edmonton, where Sather blossomed into a living legend and a giant of hockey through 20-plus years as coach or GM of the five-time Stanley Cup champion Oilers. But it was not to be.
