Georgiev Clutch Late As Rangers Win In Shootout

Following Friday night’s 3-2 overtime loss in Detroit, the Rangers looked to get back in the win column at Nationwide Arena against the Columbus Blue Jackets. And thanks to goaltender Alexandar Georgiev, they were able to do just that.

Mika Zibanejad – The Blueshirts got on the board first in this one on a goal from the 25-year-old Swede. Zibanejad started the play in the defensive zone forcing a turnover. Pavel Buchnevich took the puck, made a nice move around the sliding Columbus defender, and hit Zibanejad at the back post for a tap-in and a 1-0 lead in the first.
