The Rangers can still find a way to go from 6th to 10th if they win out and no one else does. So there is a case for losing, albeit not by throwing the game. The Sens are actually playing .500 hockey recently, which is better than the Rangers.
This game is likely not going to be a fun one to watch. The Senators are playing people you’ve never heard of in their top six.
