The final homestand of the regular season begins tonight. With three games remaining before the playoffs, the Blueshirts are set to square off against the Philadelphia Flyers in a Metropolitan Division battle. The Rangers will be looking to finish off a sweep of the four game season series against their rivals who are in the midst of what will likely be a season-ending tailspin. The Flyers had been in the driver’s seat for third place in the division and the guaranteed playoff spot that comes with that for the majority of the season.
However, the Flyers are now in the midst of an 0-6-2 slump, including a 6-5 overtime loss to the Rangers on March 26th, and now find themselves on the outside looking in of the playoff picture.
