Three games into the young season, the only consistency for David Quinn’s squad has been inconsistency. A poor effort on opening night led to some lineup changes and a major bounce back game against the New York Islanders two night later. The Rangers peppered Devils’ goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood with 50 shots on Tuesday, but only managed to get three of those shots behind him and came up short by a 4-3 margin.
Tonight marks the first road trip of the abbreviated campaign, and it’ll start with a pair of contests against Sidney Crosby, Kristopher Letang, and the rest of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
