The Rangers have returned from from their brief road trip into Canada, but the action against Canadian teams will continue tonight at Madison Square Garden. It’ll be a rematch of the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals as the Blueshirts host Quinn Hughes, Thatcher Demko, and the rest of the Vancouver Canucks.
There’s been plenty of ups and downs for these two teams in the three decades since that fateful matchup, but both teams currently find themselves among the best teams in the NHL. The Rangers enter tonight’s game tied atop the Eastern Conference, while the Canucks find themselves leading the Pacific Division and in second place out west in a year where just making the playoffs would’ve been seen as a positive step for the Vancouver.
