Game 23: Detroit ain’t what they used to be

After the 6-1 demolition of the Canes on Wednesday, the Rangers are back home tonight to take on the Detroit Red Wings. The Wings aren’t built very well, but they are certainly outperforming their roster at the moment, albeit at barely above hockey-.500. The Rangers are more talented up and down the lineup. So after the strong win on Wednesday, this has all the makings of a trap game.

The Blueshirts are going to be without Ryan McDonagh again, but that didn’t necessarily hurt them against Carolina. They will look to keep their scoring touch going against a Red Wings team that have allowed 64 goals in 22 games.
