Filip Chytil talked Saturday morning about wanting to stand out in ways other than just scoring.
Saturday night, he did both. The Rangers’ 20-year-old center had a strong effort in the 5-2 loss to the Blues in St. Louis, tallying a goal and an assist while catching David Quinn’s eye throughout the night.
“He was visible every time he was out there,” Quinn said. “He really played at a pace.”
Quinn liked his linemates, too. They may be young — Chytil (20), Brett Howden (21) and Kaapo Kakko (18) — but they handled themselves well against a tough opponent.
