Before Monday night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks I was looking at the numbers for rookie forwards in the NHL. It didn’t take long for Filip Chytil’s name to catch my eye. At the time he was, arguably, the unluckiest rookie forward in the NHL.
Also worth mentioning that Chytil has the 6th-highest iCF (49) among rookie skaters at 5v5, just behind Andrei Svechnikov (54). Chytil is the only rookie forward who has attempted more than 25 shots at 5v5 without scoring a goal this year (per @NatStatTrick). https://t.
