Fast, Girardi and Hellberg at Rangers practice

The Rangers are slowly but surely getting healthier and that might mean an end to Steven Kampfer and Tanner Glass being in the lineup.

Dan Girardi, who was suffering from an ankle injury (an open wound), and Jesper Fast, who had a shoulder injury after a bone-jarring hit from Alex Ovechkin, were both practicing with the team today wearing normal jerseys. Fast had been previously been skating on his own in a no-contact jersey.

Kevin Klein remains out of the lineup and has not played since February 23rd. If Girardi is indeed back it will likely spell the end of Kampfer’s time with the Rangers.
