Mats Zuccarello has a new home.
The former Ranger agreed Monday to a five-year, $30 million deal with the Minnesota Wild. Given that Zuccarello is 31 years old, he will likely finish out his career in Minnesota, where he figures to be a key part of a franchise that missed the playoffs last season for the first time since 2012.
“Mats is a very competitive, high-energy player,” Wild GM Paul Fenton said in a press release. “He brings a high level of skill and character to our lineup and we’re very excited to add him to our team.
