David Quinn said he was going to do it, and he did.
The Rangers’ first-year head coach continued his constant barrage of teaching during practices, using most of Friday’s session at the MSG Training Facility to work on defending the front of the net and defensive-zone coverage. It was exactly what perturbed him following the 7-5 loss to the Islanders in Brooklyn on Thursday night, and so less than 24 hours later, Quinn’s Blueshirts went to work.
“Sometimes it can get lost between training camp and now because in training camp, you have 2¹/u2082 weeks of practices every day, and implement things,” Quinn said.
