It was just under the 4 minute mark of the 3rd period between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the 1st round of the playoffs. With the score tied at 1, Rangers’ forward, J.T. Miller, hit defenseman, Dan Boyle, on a great cross ice pass in the offensive zone that should have been an empty net tap in for Boyle and could have very well been the game winning and series clinching goal.
However, this is what happened.
