Last night Cody was on “McLeod eight” after scoring his first goal as a New York Ranger. He later left the game after getting into a fight, and it was announced today that he fractured his hand. For the moment, it's uncertain how long he'll be out of the lineup.

McLeod damaged his hand in his second period scrap with Ross Johnston of the New York Islanders.

McLeod, 34, re-signed with the Rangers for one year in the offseason. The goal he scored last night was the 72nd of his over 750-game NHL career.
