Can The New York Rangers Find a Taker for Dan Boyle?

Fr the better part of a year now, Dan Boyle has been the whipping-boy for fans of the New York Rangers, and rightfully so.

He makes a $4.5 million per year, and thus far, his production has not matched the hefty salary. With Dylan McIlrath breathing down his neck for the sixth-defenseman spot, is it time to start thinking about potential suitors for Boyle’s services?

For starters, Boyle is in the last year of his contract, something that could be of value to a young team that is trying to make a playoff push (much like the Florida Panthers and their acquisition of Jaromir Jagr), or a team that is in a rebuilding mode and is willing to take on an expiring contract.
