Once again, the New York Rangers go on the road after an extended break. This time to Toronto to face one of the NHL’s elite teams. It’s the third time in December that the Rangers have had at least three days off between games.
They hope to ride any momentum gained from their final minute come-from-behind win over Anaheim at the Garden on Tuesday night, but it will be a tall order. The Maple Leafs are tied for second overall in the NHL with Winnipeg and only Tampa has a more potent offense.
The Leafs are coming off a 6-1 spanking of the Florida Panthers and a 7-2 beat down of the New Jersey Devils.
