The two quick goals from Neal Pionk and Jimmy Vesey at the start of the second period were all they needed, too, before an empty-netter from Vesey finished things in the final minutes.
The Rangers (6-7-1) were coming off a long four-game road trip, where they won the final two games in San Jose and Anaheim to stabilize what was a very difficult early start to the season.
