The waiting is over. Adam Fox is coming home.
After a year of being linked to the New York Rangers, Adam Fox has finally been dealt to the Blueshirts. Fox entered the league as a 2016 third round draft pick by the Calgary Flames. He was later shipped to the Carolina Hurricanes last summer in the blockbuster trade that included Noah Hanifin, Dougie Hamilton, and Elias Lindholm.
Fox was not interested in signing with either Calgary or Carolina. Instead, his desire to play for his hometown team held strong.
Fox’s 2019 options were to either return to college at Harvard or hope Carolina traded his rights.
