Bobby Ryan's goal vs. Rangers nets young Senators fans a puppy

Bobby Ryan was startlingly critical of his Senators team after it allowed three third-period goals in a loss to the Islanders Friday night. Ryan’s coach challenged him to step up on Sunday against the Rangers — and so did some young fans, albeit in a very different way.

Ryan did step up — and now those fans are getting a puppy as a result.

The young fans at Canadian Tire Centre were seen before and during the game holding up a sign telling Ryan, “If You Score, My Dad Promised We Can Get a Puppy. ” Ryan, the second-leading scorer for the Senators, then scored the deciding goal with 19.
