An old nemesis gets best of Rangers, Lundqvist once again

Sports

Rangers defenseman Marc Staal battles with Capitals forward Andre Burakovsky during the second period at Madison Square Garden.

Much like the past couple weeks for the Rangers, the game they played against the Capitals at the Garden on Saturday afternoon was a roller coaster of emotion.

What was left when the smoke cleared was a tough-to-swallow, 4-3 overtime loss to the team leading the NHL in points.

Coming back from a 2-0 third-period deficit, the Rangers ran off three goals in the first 13:11 of the final period to take a 3-2 lead.
