Part III of The Post’s four-part series, in which we count down the 90 best Rangers of all time to commemorate the franchise’s 90th season. Part I; Part II
30. James Patrick, D, 1983-1993: Third-most points in franchise history by a defenseman (104-363-467) over 10 years on Broadway. Slick, could skate, move the puck and was responsible both ways. Deemed expendable early in ’93-94, sent to Hartford in the trade that brought Steve Larmer to New York for the Cup run.
29. Phil Watson, RW/C, 1935-48: Part of the nucleus that won the Cup in 1940 and finished with the league’s best record in 1941-42, recorded 360 points (127-233) in 546 games.
