We’ve finally reached the gold-medal game of the 2021 World Junior Championship, and we’ll have another classic matchup on our hands to see who will be crowned champions. Canada has steamrolled the competition thus far by going a perfect 4-0 in the group stage and out-scoring their opponents 33-4 in the process. The United States, on the other hand, battled back from an early loss to the Russia in their opening game and stunned Finland with a late goal in the semifinals courtesy of Arthur Kaliyev.
Surprisingly enough, this will be just the fifth time both nations have met in the gold-medal game.
