Zack Wheeler will start Sunday, and depending on what happens before the July 31 non-waiver deadline, it could be his final start at Citi Field as a Met — for now.
The right-hander is among the most valuable assets the Mets can move if they decide to rebuild, and Wheeler said Saturday he isn’t overly concerned about his immediate future.
“It doesn’t matter to me,’’ Wheeler said before the Mets beat the Phillies, 6-5. “I’ve already been through it plenty of times. If it happens, it happens. I’m worried about winning here now. That’s all I’m worried about.
