Yoenis Cespedes unavailable Thursday after cortisone injection

Yoenis Cespedes is not in tonight's starting lineup. He arrived to the ballpark around 4:00 pm and is not available to play during Thursday night's game against the Braves in Atlanta.

His absence leaves Terry Collins with a three-man bench.

Cespedes was diagnosed with a mild left wrist sprain after leaving Wednesday's game in the fifth inning. He appeared to suffer the injury during an at bat earlier in the game.

He received a cortisone injection during his visit to the Hospital for Special Surgery, which typically requires a player to be inactive for at least 48 hours.
