Yoenis Cespedes is trying to show everyone the work he’s putting in to make it back to the Mets following surgeries on both heels, and the wild story about the boar attack at his Florida ranch last summer that resulted in a broken ankle.
In a two-minute video posted Thursday on Twitter — created by his agency, Roc Nation Sports — Cespedes is shown lifting weights, running and taking batting practice with voiceovers of various critics questioning whether he can return this season after not playing at all in 2019.
Position players aren’t required to report to spring training until Feb.
