NEW YORK -- Yoenis Cespedes continued his career-long torment of the Phillies on Wednesday, bashing a two-run homer in the first inning at Citi Field to give the Mets a 2-0 lead.
The home run, which traveled a projected 405 feet, was his 15th in 38 career games against the Phillies. Cespedes has also scored 33 runs against Philadelphia and driven home 36.
This long ball, which clanged off the facing of the second deck in left field, was the second home run of the year for Cespedes.
