The Yankees not only knocked the Mets bullpen around after Matt Harvey was pulled from Sunday’s game but they also took some swings at them on Twitter.
After a six-run sixth inning gave the Yankees a 6-1 lead, the official Yankees Twitter account tweeted, “CC, still dealing! After 6: Big brother 5, little brother 1 #PinstripePride.”
Sabathia was indeed still dealing, contrary to Harvey, who was pulled after five innings due to a predetermined innings limit. To add insult to injury they also reminded the Mets that they are still the “little brother” in this city.
This wasn’t the only social media jabbing going on during the Subway Series.
