It looks like Andrew Miller could be the next free-agent target for the Mets and Yankees to miss out on.
Miller reportedly is close to a deal with Cardinals, according to The Athletic.
The former Yankee was a key piece of the Indians’ run to the World Series in 2016 and has been sought as lefty relief help by a number of hopeful contenders, but he is coming off an injury-plagued 2018 campaign that was also one of his worst statistical years.
As hamstring and knee issues limited Miller to just 34 innings in 2018, he posted a 4.
