NEW YORK -- Mark Teixeira had quite a night Wednesday. He hit his first homer off a lefty in more than a year, got hit by a pitch, nearly caused a bench-clearing brawl, got into jawing match over alleged stealing signs incident. And laughed a lot in the Yankees' 9-5 victory over the Mets.
In the second, Teixeira took Steven Matz deep for a three-run shot, his first homer off a lefty since July 31, 2015. During Teixeira's next at-bat, Matz hit him with a fastball on his lower leg.
