X-rays come back negative on Pete Alonso’s right hand

X-Rays on New York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso’s right hand have come back negative, according to according to Matt Ehalt.

During the team’s 10-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday afternoon, Alonso was hit on the right hand while swinging during his eighth inning at-bat. He remained in the game to complete his turn and was replaced at first base by Dominic Smith in the bottom of the eighth. Prior to the results of the X-Ray being made public, manager Mickey Callaway noted that he was “not overly concerned” about the injury.
