NEW YORK -- David Wright laced a game-winning single with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning Saturday afternoon as the New York Mets came back to beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4, at Citi Field.
Eric Campbell began the winning rally with a leadoff single against right-hander Michael Blazek (1-1). Kevin Plawecki then drew a walk before pinch-hitter Matt Reynolds advanced both runners with a bunt.
An intentional walk to Curtis Granderson loaded the bases, after which Wright got ahead of Blazek 3-0. But Wright swung at the next pitch, which landed for a clean single in right-centerfield to give the Mets, who trailed 4-1 in the fourth, their first walk-off win of the season.
