"I'll take this," Wright said. "Because obviously in game-type situations these guys are well ahead of me as far as the speed of the game and getting the at-bats.
"So for me it was about putting together good at-bats. I was able to get the [first] hit and get some confidence going early. I think I had much better at-bats after that; especially that last one. I got to see some pitches and was really pleased with how the day went."
The plan all along has been to bring Wright along slowly this spring after he played just 38 games in 2015, after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis.
