Romano shifted from the bullpen to the rotation Wednesday to throw 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs in a loss to the Tigers. He allowed one run in six innings in a no-decision vs. the Mets on May 9.
After being sidelined for a large part of the season, Vargas matched his season high in strikeouts (7) and innings (5) in his last start, Thursday against the Braves. He will look to build on that Tuesday in his fourth career start vs. the Reds.
