The Mets, for the second time in three games, walked off the Orioles, winning the rubber game of their series 4-3.
Sean Manaea started the day off sitting down the first 15 batters to face him without allowing a baserunner. Manaea continued his second half excellence, striking out nine over seven innings with no walks, a hit batsman, and two hits. Unfortunately, one of those hits was a two-run home run off the bat of Austin Slater in the top of the sixth, ending Manaea’s no-hit bid.
The Mets got their early offense from two of their veterans.
