Wilmer Flores gets big hit, but will continue to fight for playing time

Wilmer Flores's pinch-hit bloop single in the 10th inning with the bases loaded drove in the game-winning run as the Mets beat the Pirates, 6-5, on Wednesday night.

Yoenis Cespedes and Neil Walker started the inning with consecutive singles. James Loney advanced them with a sacrifice bunt and Asdrubal Cabrera was intentionally walked, after which Flores stepped to the plate.

"I wanted to stay up the middle against him but the ball got up on me a little bit," Flores later explained. "Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
