The San Francisco Giants announcing Tuesday night that baseball legend Willie Mays has passed away at age 93. While he played most of his career with the Giants, Mays also played a season and a half with the Mets. While he was no longer “Willie Mays,” he did have his moments in Flushing, including a home run in his first Mets game (against the Giants, of course), and helping the Mets get to the World Series in 1973. Steve Cohen issuing a statement:
