I kind of feel bad for Jon Niese. Sure, he's making $7 million this year (more money than I'll see in my lifetime unless that million dollar idea I haven't thought of yet works out) for pretty much being mediocre at his job, but part of me has a soft spot for him.
You have to figure he knows most Mets fans have no desire to see him on the mound - EVER AGAIN. We want Steven Matz and we want him now. Even if Matz wasn't a factor, Niese is the guy nobody wants to get stuck with at a game.
