SAN FRANCISCO — Now the Mets, improbably on the playoff schedule, face the Giants’ Madison Bumgarner, he of the near supernatural postseason resume.

Yeah, but maybe this time, after three titles and 10 postseason series, Bumgarner feels all the stress, all the strain of so many big moments. The guy’s got to be feeling it.
“For this time of year, I feel as good as I did in April,” Bumgarner said. “That’s why we put in all the work and get in the shape we’ve got to be in to stay strong and finish.
