NEW YORK — After losing Jerry Blevins to a fractured left forearm on Sunday, the Mets will once again be forced to shuffle around their relievers in order to fill the new hole in their bullpen.
Blevins' injury is a significant hit for the Mets, as he had been the team's top left-handed reliever who had retired all 15 batters he'd faced this season.
He will be sidelined indefinitely — he is scheduled to be examined by a hand specialist at the Hospital of Special Surgery on Monday — which only further depletes a bullpen that was already without Josh Edgin, Jenrry Mejia, Bobby Parnell and Vic Black.
