Matt Harvey’s workload could increase if the Mets reach the NLCS.
Manager Terry Collins told The Post before the Mets’ 3-1 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday night that Harvey will not only be available for the next round of playoffs should the Mets advance, but the team could use him for multiple starts in a best-of-seven series.
Harvey was handed the Game 3 start for the NLDS because team officials wanted the right-hander to pitch only once in the series. The goal was to save Harvey’s bullets, in his first season removed from Tommy John surgery, for later in the month should the Mets advance.
