Last Fall, Daniel Murphy went on a magical October run for the Mets. He hit three home runs in the NLDS and followed that up with four in the NLCS. Further, Murphy made a key base running play in Game 5 of the NLDS that enabled him to score the tying run.
Later last Fall, Mets TV play-by-play man, Gary Cohen was on WFAN and said the Mets should not re-sign Murphy. Cohen stated that Murphy was a “net negative” on the team. Was Cohen correct?
Well, as noted above, Murphy had an incredible run early in the 2015 postseason.
