Troubled ex-Mets ace Dwight Gooden was captured on surveillance video slowly getting out of his car surrounded by authorities during a DUI bust on a Newark, NJ, street Monday night.
The fallen former pitching great holds what looks like a water bottle and an extra t-shirt as he shuffles along to a waiting ambulance after being accused of driving the wrong way on a one-way street in the city’s Ironbound district.
The 54-year-old Gooden, dressed in a dark shirt and tan shorts, enters the ambulance on his own before being taken to nearby University Hospital.
