New York Mets pitching coach Dan Warthen said RHP Matt Harvey will be ready to pitch on Opening Day for the Mets on Sunday.
Though Harvey did not talk to the media after allowing three runs in two innings in his last spring training outing, Warthen told the New York Post's Mike Puma on March 31 there is no concern heading into the regular season.
"His arm feels great," Warthen, who in February said he believes Harvey could be the best pitcher in baseball, told Puma. "The ball is coming out.
