Jason Vargas has been sent for a CT scan after X-rays on his glove hand came back negative. He was hit with a liner while pitching in a minor league game on Friday afternoon.

Vargas, who signed a two-year deal worth $16 million earlier this offseason, is expected to be in the starting rotation.
